BIO

Hello, my name is Jermandy Randall Jackson. I was born in Lee County. I grew up in a community called Pine Grove, which is south of Shannon, MS. I am the only child. I'm a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Shannon and currently a member of Crosspoint Ministries in Tupelo, MS. I am a father of one child. As a child, I grew up helping my uncle farm our land. We grew soybeans and corn. Hard work was instilled in me as a child  with hope that it would pay off.  I started primary school in Nettleton and later attended Shannon High School. However, I completed my high school diploma at Nettleton High School. I began my college career at Itawamba Community College where I played basketball. I later transferred to Mississippi Valley State University where I played baseball and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree. I worked at Tupelo Public School District as a bus driver and interventionist for three years. I am a graduate of North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Program full time and part time. I became employed with the Tupelo Police Department as a reserve officer.  Then, I received a job at Verona Police Department as an officer where I worked for four years.  Additionally, I joined the Tupelo Public School District Security Department.  Afterwards, I became a deputy for Monroe County Sheriff Department for two years. While working for Monroe County Sheriff Department in 2018,  I became assistant chief of police with Okolona Police Department. In 2019, I was a candidate for Lee County Sheriff. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Criminal Justice.
